OK Go

September 12, 2006

If you like artists who have good music and a clear sense of fun, check out the band OK Go. They put the music video of their song “Here It Goes Again” up on YouTube.com and now they have become famous. What made them so popular? Their treadmill video.

“Treadmills?” you say. What could be cool about that?” Maybe the treadmills alone would have been boring but with theimagination of these guys…the result was wow!

Well, put together four guys, a song with a nice beat and an interesting concept. Add to it that they gave an all out performance on their video, dancing on eight treadmills, by the way and the rest was history. They looked like they were having such a blast that everyone just wanted to keep watching them over and over again. Some just wanted to learn the dance sequence they did.

Now, some of you may find them dorky, geeky or just plain strange but that’s ok. They don’t mind. In fact their video also aired on dork.com increasing their popularity. Their video has been so popular that they caught the attention of MTV and were invited to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards. What a great place to have your debut, right?

If you missed the VMA and want to see their video, wander over to youtube.com and watch the video there. You can click on this link and we’ll bring you directly to where you can watch it and get the embed code for yourself (just in case you want to share this with your friends too).
