Get Into Linux

November 8, 2006

Almost everybody has used bootlegged software at some point since they first became aware of the existence of a computer. Sometimes you are lucky enough to have freeware packed with your computer or printer. After that though you’re going to have to buy your software; and the original ones are expensive.

Maybe it is time you get into Linux is an operating system that is UNIX based. The great part, the software was developed by computer enthusiasts and they give it away free of charge. Anyone can acquire them and use them without paying a thing.

If you’re afraid that it is difficult to use and require you to be a professional computer programmer to use it, you can relax. Those difficult days are done and over with. All you need is to place the CD of software like Ubuntu in your PC, the software installs just like windows and in a short while, you’ll be ready to rock and roll. If you don’t have it yet, you can download it off the net.

“What do you need to get started using Linux?” you ask. How does 2 gigabytes of hard drive space and 256 megabytes of RAM sound to you? With such little resources needed, you can even have your old PC running and working for you.

Best of all, you will never be a pirate using Linux because all the software they use is free. You can save a lot of money and be safe from some law suits (and most viruses). All it will ask from you is an open mind and the willingness to try a new operating system.
