Beatport 3.0

October 20, 2006

If you are still searching for the best source for the latest dance tunes then you should wander on over to Beatport 3.0. The music springs directly from the artists and deejays and into your computers. You may just be in for a treat. There is everything from techno, trance, hard dance and even some chill out music.

There is no doubt about the legality of the music here. Since the music is coming direct from the artists who created it, the RIAA will not be knocking on your door anytime soon. There are absolutely no worries on that score.

If you’re not sure where to start, don’t worry. The site is absolutely easy to navigate and discovering is half the fun. Pick the genre you like most and pick an artist to listen to. If you like what you hear, buy their music. It is that simple. If you need more help, there’s a site tutorial link at the bottom of the page to help you get started

The charts are also a good guide to figuring out what is gaining popularity. That should help you pick good music for your dance parties. Keep in mind that the majority of the music here is electronica and dance. If you’re hunting for heavy metal you aren’t likely to find it here.

You can sign up and discuss the music with other members of the site at the forum. Sometimes the artists are even in the forum. You might even influence the next set of songs to be created.
