Many educational institutions try to find ways to support their students’ educational needs in an effort to be more responsive to the call for better educational access. Textbooks which have served their purpose of information and reference for the longest time are now being complemented or substituted by downloadable instructional materials. These are basically learning materials that can be accessed online and downloaded, if required.Â
Most online schools no longer require the purchase of textbooks and instead ask their students to simply download the materials that have been prepared for the purpose. The right to download such materials is typically limited to enrolled students. Non-students may be required to provide a written request to download the said materials when it is allowed.
Schools are especially helpful in trying to find required reference materials which are not currently included in their offered references. Many are willing to look into the possibilities of finding digital versions of the desired book. With the kind of technology we have today, it is impossible not to find it if such material exists in the real world.
Instructional materials for teachers are also now being made available in the different areas of teaching. Much emphasis is placed not only in providing important materials but also in making them available to those who need it. There is actually no reason not to avail of learning opportunities as they are being made widely available to those who care to have it. It should be noted however, that there are certain materials that requires express approval to be legally downloaded. When not sure if it is required, it is better to err in caution and ask.
