The best things in life are free. This is what most people believe in. But being free also has its consequences, among them of which is the hidden viruses and spyware that spread aggressively towards a computer once opened without checking.

Downloading stuff over the web is usually automatic when a person would need certain programs, applications or files for their own use. The priority would be the sites that offer them without a fee. But when it comes to security, people could care less. They would take it as it comes and address the situation once there are indeed signs of threat.

Besides, people know the steps necessary to be able to disinfect and restore damaged program registry commands once such things occur. But this does not cover majority of the users who are satisfied with simple web access.

There are sites which charge nominal fees. Other than being safe, they are legal and free a downloading individual from any probable legal conflict. Wants carry with them a price. The price of safety and peace of mind.
